Natural Character. Architectural Precision.
Thermally modified wood, architectural-grade hardwood, and Accoya, crafted from forest to finish for exteriors and interiors where grain, tone, and detail are part of the architecture.
Elevated Wood.
Maximum Potential.
Maximo Wood was built to elevate wood to its maximum potential. Across its Hardwood and Thermally Modified Wood divisions, the brand takes superior lumber from forest to finish, delivering material that is beautiful, stable, and made to last in premium exterior and interior applications. Specified for cladding, façades, ceilings, soffits, interior accent walls, decking, fencing, and precision joinery.
EVERY SPACE BEGINS WITH THE RIGHT MATERIAL.
MAXIMO WOOD's collection of premium wood and architectural surface solutions brings natural character, refined craftsmanship, and design flexibility to every project. From cabinetry and millwork to furniture and interior applications, each material is selected to add warmth, depth, and distinction, helping designers, architects, and craftsmen create spaces that feel as considered as they are beautiful.
Architectural-Grade
Tropical Hardwood.
Maximo Hardwood is handpicked and kiln-dried in regulated chambers, architectural-grade boards graded premium on all four sides. Dense tropical species selected for tone, grain, and the structural demands of heavy-traffic exterior environments. Pre-finished options reduce site labour and provide immediate protection on installation.
The Legitimate
Thermally Modified Wood.
Maximo Thermo is transformed with heat and steam alone — no chemicals. The process reduces sugar and moisture at the cellular level, permanently altering the wood's structure. The result is dimensionally stable, lightweight, and resistant to rot, decay, and insects. A core-to-surface transformation rather than a surface treatment.

Kiln-Dried Hardwood
Deck Tiles.
Maximo™ Hardwood Deck Tiles are engineered as a modern, high-quality alternative for outdoor surfaces. Crafted from premium, kiln-dried tropical hardwood species, they provide exceptional stability, structural durability, and visual warmth for balconies, patios, terraces, and roof decks where standard decking installations are restricted.
Grain.
Texture.
Character.
What makes wood worth specifying is also what makes it demanding. Maximo addresses both, preserving the natural expression of the material while engineering how it performs.
Maximo Thermo Ash — surface character detail
-
01
Natural Character
Every board carries its own grain, tone, and variation. Left unfinished, Maximo Thermo Ayous moves from a uniform golden-brown to a silver-gray patina, a change the material is designed to make, not resist.
-
02
Modified to the Core
Maximo Thermo is transformed with heat and steam alone, reducing the sugars and moisture that attract insects and cause decay. A core-to-surface transformation, not a surface treatment.
-
03
Dimensional Stability
Reduced moisture content means the board holds its line, resisting warping, twisting, and cupping through temperature swings. Its lighter weight also lowers handling effort and labour time on site.
-
04
Fire Performance, Specified
Thermo Ayous with BurnBlock® delivers a Class A fire rating under ASTM E84, WUI compliant, California Chapter 7A compliant, CSFM 12-7A-1 passed, pressure-impregnated at the cellular level with full machinability and natural appearance intact.

Rooted in Responsibility
Sourced from responsibly managed woodlands. Certified to FSC and PEFC, with EPD, USGBC, Cradle to Cradle, Declare, and Timber Trust recognition supporting specification and documentation.
Engineered at the
Cellular Level.
Maximo Thermo and Maximo Hardwood are not simply selected — they are engineered. Each collection undergoes a precise, science-driven process that transforms the wood at the cellular level, permanently improving stability, resistance, and longevity without compromising its natural character.
A patented thermal modification process using only heat and steam, no chemicals introduced at any stage. The wood is transformed from the inside out.
The process permanently reduces the natural sugars and moisture content that attract insects and cause decay, a core-to-surface transformation, not a surface treatment.
Reduced moisture content means the board holds its line across temperature swings, resisting warping, twisting, and cupping over time and across any climate.
Thermally modified wood is measurably lighter than untreated stock, reducing handling effort and cutting site labour time without sacrificing structural performance.
Left unfinished, Thermo Ayous ages from a uniform golden-brown to a silver-gray patina, a change the material is engineered to make gracefully, not resist.
Maximo Thermo is backed by a 20-year warranty, a direct reflection of confidence in the permanence and durability of the thermal modification process.
Every board is individually selected for density, grain consistency, tone, and character before it enters the supply chain, ensuring uniformity across the project.
Boards are kiln-dried in precisely regulated chambers to manage moisture content , ensuring dimensional stability and preventing on-site movement after installation.
Maximo Hardwood is graded premium on all four sides, not just the face. Every board arrives ready for visible installation without additional selection or rejection on site.
Sablewood, Bulletwood, Garapa, and Cumaru are dense, hard tropical species with inherent resistance to rot, decay, and heavy-traffic wear, without any chemical treatment.
Sablewood is available pre-finished, providing immediate protection at installation and eliminating on-site finishing time, reducing labour and ensuring consistent coverage.
FSC and PEFC certified, with EPD, USGBC, Cradle to Cradle, Declare, and Timber Trust documentation available for specification, submittal, and compliance.
